BE THANKFUL

Image
Hello Everyone, October is almost over and I am already excited about the coming holidays, from Thanksgiving to Christmas in December and even the New year holidays. I am also looking forward to the outcome of the upcoming U.S Elections this November too. Meanwhile, I am having a great time on my job and dealing with fresh challenges as they come while also creating time for my music and you  which are my number one passion. In all, do not forget to be thankful for all you have and for the gift of life, some people would have done everything they could to stay alive till this date but they couldn't and passed on. Let us share what gets us excited at the thoughts of holidays. For me, it is the fact that I can sleep into the morning and not jump off the bed at 5:30 a.m to get ready for work.  Some 'ME' time , LOL.

CHANGE IS CONSTANT AND ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE

By now we are all familiar with the saying that change is the only constant thing in life. As long as time and life  continue to exist, change will always happen. I drove into Abuja the Federal Capital territory  this evening and I am amazed at the changes I see yet again. Every time I come into Abuja, I have reasons to doubt my sense of geography which I pride in ordinarily (LOL). New roads and other beautiful structures are being constructed every now and then, and one thought came to my mind.  Fifty or sixty years ago, did the indigenes of the Federal Capital Territory ever imagine that someday their land will become the seat of government and centre of attention of our great country Nigeria? Now I am also wondering how the people took the huge change that happened to their land when Abuja became a city and subsequently the seat of government. Change does happen. This write up is not about Abuja or its history but to remind us that the in-conceivable can happen. That your little

YOUR DREAMS CAN BECOME REALITY

It's amazing how God makes our dreams, aspirations and goals become reality if we stay focused and work towards them. I remember  as a little girl, I would call my siblings together, we would use our pencils as microphones and sing everything we felt like singing from church choruses, to the rhymes we learnt at school to the the local high life we hear on the radio. I remember my brother always went off (LOL )and we would all scream at him to 'shut up'. I knew this is what I would do for the rest of my life-Singing. Today, I am a recording artiste and feel really blessed for a great beginning at this, it can only better. Music is life, it is food to the soul. It soothes frayed nerves, calms your fears, gets you thinking, sobers a raging heart, It is LIFE.  I don't know what your dreams are but if they are yet to come true, stay focused and work on it. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks about it. God didn't give them the dreams anyway, He gav

I WILL FIX YOU

Image
My thoughts today: As a growing child & even as a teenager, I used to break lots of stuff at home(not intentionally), I was scared to touch glasses or wash breakable plates for fear of breaking them, even worse was the fear of my parents' reactions when i broke anything. This one time my Dad asked me to read a book from his book shelf, I went to pick it and gbam! all the books on the shelf came crashing down, I remember the fear I felt as I heard my Dad open his room door and amazingly, he didn't scold or beat or yell, he just said "I hope u are not wounded, Don't worry, i will re-arrange them". Today, God is reaching out to you and is saying "I will fix it, I will fix that situation,  I will re-arrange your life in spite of your challenges, mistakes, undoings, weaknesses...". He is not out to scold, kill  or yell at you for all the wrongs you've done, he just wants to show you more of his love and mercies and grace and let you know

Celebrating African Music

It is amazing to see how Nigerian Music has evolved from time past to our present day. This is really a much welcomed development and I see the Music Industry getting more organized and becoming an industry where intellectual properties will be appreciated and monetize with good dividends going to the Artistes. What's your take on this? Please comment. Thanks.
