MAKE THIS A MEMORABLE CHRISTMAS.

Christmas is in the air and everyone including me is already in Christmas mood. I went to the market today to see a customer of mine (work related) and she asked me to come back at a later date because she was busy with her customers, she smiled at me and said nicely "that's how it is this period, more customers, more money" . I bet you all have planned for or purchased already the gifts, food stuff, clothes, jewellery, shoes, household stuff  etc for the festive season. But can I ask how many of us have taken a second to think about the homeless, orphans, less privileged and the poor in our society?




This season, make up your mind to give back to the society. There is a homeless, hungry man or woman whose hope will be renewed with just a plate of food, some warm clothes and a blanket from you. There is a child who feels no one loves him or her and no one cares, but a nice dress from you, a plate of food, a pair of shoes or whatever you can afford to give can just make the difference and change that child's mind set and give them hope.


Make this Christmas a memorable for someone who cannot afford it. A kind gesture never goes un-rewarded. Look out for the poor, the homeless, the hungry, the orphans, that poor widow in your locality and make it a memorable Christmas for them.

I had a conversation with a friend of mine a couple of weeks ago and after that I took a while to think if I should write something on this or not. What triggered that conversation was that, a crippled woman on a wheel chair pulled up beside my car in traffic asking for alms; She had an obviously malnourished child who should be about two years old with her and was clearly pregnant with another child. My big rhetorical question was "What kind of person would do this to this woman?" Every now and then we hear stories of physically and mentally challenged people being sexually abused especially the people with mental disabilities, they are raped, maltreated and neglected, sometimes by the very people who are supposed to protect them. TAKE A BREATHER, WILL YOU?

It's a casual Tuesday for me Guys, no thanks to my drycleaner 😩😳😞😞 So,  as I was trying to come up with a simple, casual ensemble to wear out this morning, my house keeper walks into my room with my wig all brushed up nicely and handed it over to me, she saw the look of despair on my face as she handed it to me,  and quietly dropped the wig on my dressing table. I told her after dressing up, that I do not want any wigs, extensions or attachments on my hair for a few days , at least until the coming week, "let my hair and scalp breathe",  I said. Sometimes in life, we get to face disappointments, failures or some quite unpleasant situations and try to do all we can to cover for them or at least pretend like they didn't happen or we didn't go through them, and sometimes, we get so worked up over them that we loose our inner peace, sleep and the zest for our passion, dreams, or even life itself. YOUR DREAMS CAN BECOME REALITY

It's amazing how God makes our dreams, aspirations and goals become reality if we stay focused and work towards them. I remember  as a little girl, I would call my siblings together, we would use our pencils as microphones and sing everything we felt like singing from church choruses, to the rhymes we learnt at school to the the local high life we hear on the radio. I remember my brother always went off (LOL )and we would all scream at him to 'shut up'. I knew this is what I would do for the rest of my life-Singing. Today, I am a recording artiste and feel really blessed for a great beginning at this, it can only better. Music is life, it is food to the soul.
